Authentication of LAU Documents for International Students

The authentication of LAU documents for international students is carried out by the Registrar’s Office via its MEHE formalities representative. Such documents include:

  • degree authentications
  • transcripts
  • enrollment statements

This process is available only to international students (i.e. non-Lebanese and Palestinians who do not hold the blue refugee card). Lebanese citizens and Palestinians (who hold the blue refugee card) cannot benefit from this service and instead have to authenticate their documents individually at the ministry.

These are the documents you must submit to request an authentication, depending on the document(s) being authenticated:

Once the document has been authenticated, the student will receive an email on his LAU email address from the ministry stating that the authentication has been completed. Then the student can pick up his/her authenticated document at the Registrar’s Office.

Please note that the authentication process requires an average of 4 weeks.
