LAU Degree Equivalency for International Students

The process of obtaining an equivalency for degrees issued by LAU is performed through the Registrar’s Office only for international students and Palestinians (who do not hold the blue refugee card).

Lebanese citizens and Palestinians (who hold the blue refugee card) must obtain the equivalency individually at the ministry.

Students should refer to the MEHE website for a complete list of requirements: https://meheservice.powerappsportals.com/

Once all required documents are ready, the student must submit the completed file to the MEHE Formalities Representative at the Registrar’s Office, who will upload the provided documents to the MEHE portal on behalf of the student, using the student’s LAU email.

Once the student receives an email from MEHE informing him/her that the equivalency has been issued, the student must inform the Registrar’s Office.

The MEHE Formalities Representative will proceed to pick up the issued equivalency document and have it ready at the Registrar’s Office, to be ultimately delivered to the student upon his/her arrival to the Registrar’s Office.

Please note that the issuance of this equivalency usually requires a minimum of 6 months of processing at the ministry.
